(18% gratuity added at checkout under "taxes & fees") Cyrille Aimée grew up in a multilingual household full of music where dancing was an everyday activity, soundtracked by the Afro-Caribbean sounds of her mother’s native Dominican Republic. The family home was in Samois-sur-Seine, the location of the Django Reinhardt Festival, and the teenage Cyrille would climb out of her bedroom window at night to mingle with the players, igniting a passion for jazz. Moving to New York City, her talents quickly gained her a reputation among her peers as a matchless interpreter of song. She performed and recorded with Roy Hargrove and stole the show in front of the notoriously hard-to-please crowd at the Harlem Apollo. Steven Sondheim invited her to star in a tribute at New York’s City Centre, backed by Wynton Marsalis. Her 2019 album Move On featured versions of Sondheim’s songs which received praise from Sondheim himself, and her version of "Marry Me a Little", was nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award. At the height of her New York success, new horizons beckoned. Visiting New Orleans, she fell in love with the energy and diversity of the city and made it her home. Linking back to New York to connect up all the dots, she teamed up with producer/multi-instrumentalist Jake Sherman, and together they have created her latest album, A Fleur de Peau. to be released on a new label, the London-based imprint Whirlwind Recordings Combining the depth and sophistication of jazz, the immediacy of pop, the irrepressible dance rhythms of the Caribbean, it’s more intimate and more accessible than anything Cyrille has done before.

Alex Harding-Baritone Saxophone Djallo Djakate-Drums Jim Alfredson-Organ Detroit-born baritone saxophonist Alex Harding first became active in jazz circles in his youth. Early on he studied with established jazz figures Yusef Lateef and Beans Bowles and was playing gigs with Donald Byrd and Wynton Marsalis before he was out of high school. Throughout the ’90s, 2000s, and 2010s, Harding toured, performed, and recorded without pause, collaborating with countless names in both jazz and pop circles that included everyone from the Marshall Allen-led Sun Ra Arkestra to work with David Lee Roth. Harding was born in 1967 in Detroit, Michigan. After hearing Grover Washington, Jr. as a kid, he took up tenor saxophone, eventually switching over to baritone in high school. Though sax was his primary instrument, he would occasionally double on bass clarinet. He was already performing regularly around Detroit in his teenage years while studying with local jazz greats. By his early twenties he was performing internationally. He left Detroit for New York in the early ’90s, joining Julius Hemphill’s Saxophone Sextet and performing around town with Lester Bowie, Frank Lacy, Hamiet Bluiett’s Baritone Group, the Mingus Big Band, and many others. He also took part in shows and festival appearances with the Sun Ra Arkestra and the Roy Hargrove Big Band. He recorded multiple albums with longtime friend pianist Lucian Ban, including 2002’s Somethin’ Holy and a 2008 collaboration between the two friends and Romanian electronic musician Silent Strike entitled 3am. In the late 2000s he joined the Broadway production of FELA!!! both in New York and on tour. He eventually returned to Detroit, but stayed incredibly active in the studio and on the road. Harding and Ban reunited in 2019 for another collaborative album, Dark Blue.

Signal Quartet is a collective musical ensemble based in Detroit, Michigan consisting of Ben Wolkins on Trumpet and Flugelhorn, Ian Blunden on Guitar, Eric Nachtrab on Bass, and Sean Perlmutter on Drums. Each member composes for the band and contributes a decidedly individual improvisational voice. These varied approaches are the true strength of the band. Signal Quartet is not one thing. Through their writing for the group, each of the four members inspire empathetic ensemble improvisation from their own vantage point. Nachtrab has a way of making long, complex, or irregular song forms sound simple and inevitable with a lyricism all his own. Perlmutter contributes a pop sensibility, connecting brightly defined islands of melodic material with shifting, sometimes unhinged improvised sections. Wolkins has a highly developed harmonic concept, adding a richness, depth, and detailed logic to the proceedings while Blunden adds an up-to-the-minute take on the state of improvised music. Signal Quartet wholeheartedly welcome uncertainty and strive for a truly new creation each time they set foot on the bandstand. Their approach to music is one of “letting it all in”; following the thread of the music wherever it leads, regardless of stylistic constraints; embracing the jazz tradition while refusing to shave off or smooth over any of its eccentricities or irregularities. The band's self-titled debut - consisting mostly of pieces by Nachtrab - was released in August of 2022, and was celebrated with a performance at the Detroit Jazz Festival the following Month. Alexis Lombre is a pianist, vocalist, composer, and producer from Chicago. She discovered early that the true essence of music is not just about what you hear, but how it makes you feel. Her mission is to keep the 'Soul' in music alive. The 2017 release of her debut EP, Southside Sounds, does just that, as it is a soulful reflection of her upbringing on Chicago’s Southside, and it rose to the top 100 Jazz albums on Jazzweek. Her latest single, "Boundaries," a powerful anthem about standing up for oneself and taking ownership of personal space, was originally released in June as part of Apple Music's Juneteenth Freedom 2024 Jazz playlist for Black Music Month and became available on all music platforms as of September. Lombre’s other releases include the single “Come Find Me,” which she describes as “lyrically, a gospel song; harmonically, a jazz song; and rhythmically, a hip-hop/R&B song. I didn’t create the song with any borders.” As JazzTimes notes, “Lombre realized early on that by refusing to be constrained by convention—whether so-called 'jazz' or otherwise—she’d be honoring, rather than defiling, the rich heritage she’d come to embrace.” In addition to composing, producing, and performing her own music, she has even been featured in a video for Coke Studios (Coca-Cola) and also has toured the United States, Canada, Cuba, Brazil, Europe, and South Africa with artists such as Jon Batiste, Terrace Martin, Marcus Miller, Kamasi Washington, Terri Lyne Carrington, Ledisi, Lizz Wright, STOUT, Keyon Harrold, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Nicole Mitchell, Jamila Woods, DJ D-Nice, and the Miles Davis Electric Band. Lombre was awarded the inaugural 2022 New Music Next Jazz Legacy Award and the 2023 Luminarts Award. Alexis Lombre-Piano Jonathan Muir-Cotton -Bass Nate Winn-Drums
