Raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Noah Hogan is a twenty-two-year-old guitarist and composer based in Brooklyn, New York. Immersed in music at a young age, he has performed at notable venues in the US and Europe, including Le Duc Des Lombards, Sunset/Sunside, DROM, 54 Below, Cliff Bell’s, and the Blue LLama Jazz Club, both as a bandleader and as a sideman. A recent graduate of New York University, Noah has studied under luminaries such as John Scofield, Lenny White, and Peter Bernstein, developing a captivating melodic sound, further inspired by the likes of Pat Metheny and Esperanza Spalding. While rooted in jazz tradition, his artistic versatility extends across numerous musical landscapes, including performing and recording with a wide variety of ensembles, providing guitar for Off-Broadway productions and cabarets, and composing scores for short films. Over the past few years, Noah has undergone a deep exploration of Brazilian music, leading to his receiving a prestigious Fulbright Award to study guitar in Brazil during 2025 and 2026. In his compositions and arrangements, he draws from both Brazilian music and jazz, highlighting the elements of each tradition that he has come to love."
